Richard Rodgers was born today in 1902. Mr. Rodgers gave us the music for the Broadway musicals “Oklahoma”, “South Pacific”, “The King and I”, and “The Sound of Music”. One of the lesser-known songs from “The Sound of Music” will inspire today’s refreshment.

Edelweiss Cocktail

2 oz. Lemon Lime Soda

1 oz. Apricot Brandy

1 oz. Lime Juice

1 oz. Simple Syrup

Pour ingredients into a chilled mixing glass.

Stir and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Garnish with a white rose petal.

(…not to mention Coleman Hawkins, Woody Herman, Sidney Bechet, Bill Clinton, and Zoot from “The Muppet Show”!)
