Bell’s Brewing Special Tasting Event @ Liquor Barn, Springhurst

Bell’s Brewery, formerly Kalamazoo Brewing Company, was founded in 1983 by Larry Bell as a home-brewing supply shop.  In 1985 Bell’s Brewery became the first craft brewery east of Boulder, CO.  Bell’s Brewery now distributes to over 15 states nation-wide and is one of the premiere breweries in the world.
 
Veronica Sanders, Bell’s regional rep will join us on Thursday, March 18 @ Springhurst as we taste and talk about different beer styles and the brewing process. For $12 you will enjoy a four-ounce sample of each of the following Bell’s beers:
 
Lager (paired with Swiss Emmentaller)
Consecrator Dopplebock (paired with Swiss Emmentaller)
Amber (paired with Bluegrass Cheddar)
Two Hearted (paired with Costello Danish Blue)
Hopslam (paired with Cranberry Chipotle Cheddar)
Bourbon Barrel-Aged Hell Hath No Fury (paired with Dark Chocolate, 65%)
Batch 9000 (paried with Dark Chocolate, 65%)
 
We’ll be serving Shinkenspek (German Wesphalblian ham) with the first several brews, pretzels and Blue Dog baguette to cleanse your pallet between beers. For this special event we will be tapping our last keg of Hopslam, and the Hell Hath No Fury Ale aged in Willet Bourbon Barrels.
 
This event will take place at Liquor Barn’s Springhurst learning center in Louisville. Seating is limited so please see a member of the Beer Department or Management about pre-paying to reserve a spot.  Please hold on to your receipt as it will be your admission ticket.
