Btms^ for Saturday, March 6.

Scottish Style Ales: Buy a Try Beer Samplings @ The Barns, Saturday, 3 to 6 pm
We’ll be sampling five Scottish-Style Ales, one from Scotland and four from the U.S. for 50 cents each, or buy a try of all five for just 2 bucks.  The style originated in Scotland and are generally malty beers with flavors of smoke and some fruity esters. Most have a low hop character as hops aren’t grown in Scotland and expensive imported hops were used sparingly. Some brews also have a peaty profile which give an earthy, smoky, or a light roasted character.
