Sierra Nevada Bigfoot – A very popular beer from the award winning brewers at Sierra Nevada.  A rich malty ale with a fruity aroma and flavor to balance out the sweetness from the malt.  The bitter, piney hop character balances nicely with the caramel malt backbone.  Brewed in Chico, CA.  9.6% abv. Food Pairing:  This Barleywine should be treated like an after dinner drink such as cognac.  Enjoy in a snifter with a sweet dessert.

Flying Dog Imperial Porter – Brewed in honor of the late Hunter S. Thompson.  This Imperial Porter has a nice roasted malt base balanced by a huge hop bitterness.  Flavors of chocolate, coffee, and vanilla give this beer a nice creamy texture with a bitter finish. Brewed in Frederick, MD.  7.8% abv. Food Pairing: Cheese (Brie, Gouda, Havarti, Swiss, Bleu, Comte, Manchego, ), Grilled or Smoked Meats, Any Dessert with Chocolate or Vanilla.

Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout –  A Russian Imperial Stout with a rich chocolatey flavor balanced by hints of coffee and roasted malt.  This thick brew has a semi-bittersweet finish with an added touch of smoke.  Brewed in Brooklyn, NY.  10.1% abv.

Stone Double Bastard – An American Strong Ale with a very aggressive character.  The hops content gives this beer flavors of pine, citrus, and tropical fruit.  The malty backbone hits you first with notes of sweet and roasted caramel.  The alcohol content is nicely hidden behind all of these flavors.  Allow this beer to age to see how the flavors can evolve.  Brewed in Escondido, CA.  10% abv. Food Pairing: Cheese (Asiago, Colby, Parmesan), Grilled or Smoked Meats, or as an aperitif
