Porters are a dark, robust style of beer, generally ales, that have flavors of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, smoky flavors, molasses, and sometimes slightly hoppy.  They are darker and richer than Brown Ales, yet not as thick and rich as Stouts.  This weekend,  the five Porters we’ll be sampling include several varieties within this style are:
