Johnny Sheffield was born today in 1931.
Mr. Sheffield first appeared in the film “Tarzan Finds a Son”. He played “Boy”.
He went on to play Boy in seven more Tarzan films. He also played Bomba the Jungle Boy in 12 movies and played the title role in the pilot film “Bantu the Zebra Boy”. I don’t recall him ever moving up to play “Teen-ager”.

I have a fondness for all those old Tarzan films. Let’s stretch the point a bit and celebrate with a;
La Bomba Cocktail
1 ¼ oz. Durango Gold Tequila
¾ oz. Cointreau Liqueur
1 ½ oz. Pineapple Juice
1 ½ oz. Orange Juice
2 dashes Grenadine
Shake all ingredients (except the grenadine) with ice three times (not two – not four – three!).
Pour into a sugar-rimmed cocktail glass.
Add grenadine and garnish with a lime wheel.
Hoo boy!
