1606  –  Shakespeare’s “King Lear” performed in the court of King James IOn this day after Christmas, we truly hope your children were more grateful to you and all you do than King Lear’s ’sharper than a serpent-toothed’ bunch!  How about a toast to Shakespeare with an Oberon beer from Bell’s Brewing?

1966  –  1st Kwanzaa celebrated.  Celebrating with the pouring of wine is part of the seven day Kwanzaa tradition.  

1933  –  FM radio patented by Edwin Armstrong.  Could he have imagined the birth of MTV in the early 1980’s where ”video killed the radio star“? How about a toast to FM radio with your favorite Fume Blanc?

1865  –  James Nason invents the 1st American coffee percolatorA toast with Kahlua and coffee is sure to perk you up!
